R. K. Narayan - Indian Novelist

R. K. Narayan (Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Narayanaswami) is a well known Indian writer who was born in 1906 in Madras, he is popular for his typical style of writing. He is one among the greatest Indian writers in English like Raja Rao and Mulk Raj Anand. He creates a fictional town called Malgudi and used it in most of his work. Narayan's work always holds elements like humanism and ordinary life of a man. And he died in 2001 after achieving many honors and awards like Sahitya Academy award for his work The Guide, AC Benson Medal, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards.
